Proud of Squirt Team

From NARCH BLOG page:

Squirt Silver – The Squirt Silver Championship featured the best championship of the division, with both teams fighting and scrapping for every inch of floor. This was a seesaw game where one team would score, and the other would counter with a goal of their own. The KIHA Warriors and the Pama Cyclones were both ready to play in this one. KIHA’s #21 Jaden Nahoi-Baricar won the opening faceoff forward, and took it down the rink for the first goal, six seconds into the game. The shellshocked Cyclones were barely able to get their feet under them before they found themselves down 2-0. #39 Ethan Oshiro, used his quick feet to give KIHA a second goal less than a minute and a half into the game. The Cyclones righted the ship, and started to play their game. It paid dividends, as #3 Mathew Ng fired a puck in the back of the net, on a nice pass from #21 Cade Moxham. The Cyclones would tie the game late in the period when # 49 Julian Schwartz would score on a pass from #98 Anthony Yu. The Cyclones would take the lead with less than a minute to go in the period, when #3 Ng would score again. The pesky KIHA kids would not go away. Another big faceoff play saw the Cyclones’ lead evaporate less than 10 seconds later, when #72 Adam Gooden would score. We would go into the break tied at 3.
The second period saw more back and forth action, even if the scoring wasn’t happening as quickly as before. KIHA would take the lead back a few minutes in, with #88 Adam Harder picking up the tally. The Cyclones, not to be outdone, would tie the game again, with #3 Ng picking up the hatty on the way. KIHA would score the dagger, at the one minute mark, with #39 Ethan Oshiro lighting the lamp for the second time. The Cyclones would pull the dagger out, and come out strong, putting together a big push at the end, with the goaltender pulled. It would work! The Cyclones would score with 19 seconds left, and send us to overtime. #94 Michael Schwartz would be the lifesaver.
In the overtime period, it would be all KIHA, as they moved the puck well, and played as if they had all the time in the world. They would end the game, and take the gold medal, when #56 Kailer Suerth would become the hero, on a nice play from #16 Namie Sato. Final Score: KIHA Warriors 6 – Mission Cyclones 5 (OT)
