Squirt Division - The squirt final was a bit more of a one sided affair. A couple of teams that are more familiar with each other than they would like to be played for the gold medal. The KIHA Warriors and the KIHA Geckos fought it out for 12u superiority. This game had a slower start to it, with neither team wanting to score that 1st goal. Midway through the 1st, the Geckos would get on the board with #66 Lance Hamilton scoring on a nice individual effort. A couple of minutes later, it would be #66 Hamilton again, this time he would need help in the form of a nice pass from #72 Adam Gooden to make it happen. The Warriors would put together their first scoring play about a minute later, as young gun #39 Ethan Oshiro would score on a nice head man pass from #9 Kailia Moylan. The Geckos stayed calm and collected, and as time was expiring in the 1st period, #72 Gooden would be the recipient of a nice passing play from #16 Namie Sato, which helped them take a 3-1 lead into the break. The Warriors got it going early in the second period as #39 Oshiro and #9 Moylan would hook up again. 3-2 would be as close as the Warriors would get, as the Geckos would start an onslaught of scoring. #19 Noah Wiley would get on the scoresheet with #66 Lance Hamilton making the play to spring him. #72 Gooden would find the net again taking a pass off of Isaiah Dominici’s pads, and going end to end with the puck. It would be #19 Noah Wiley again from #99 Scott Lyons to provide even more breathing room, and #72 Gooden would finish off the day late in the game on a pass from #66 Hamilton. Final Score Geckos 7, Warriors 2.

The Squirt top scorer had 4 goals 10 assists for 14 points in round robin play, from the Geckos it was #66 Lance Hamilton taking home the honors. Our top goalie made 23 saves on 29 shots for a .793 save %, from the Geckos #88 Isaiah Dominici.
